Alice Cooper’s Ship of Fear Cruise, due to sail from Miami to the Bahamas on October 28 for 5 days of fun at sea has been cancelled due to slow ticket sales.
A statement from organizers reads, “After careful consideration, we have decided not to continue with The Ship of Fear Cruise and we will not be sailing in 2013. Those guests who already purchased cabins will be given a full refund.
“We feel that we had a strong combination of talent, programming and promotion; however, we did not receive the consumer demand required to continue”.
The whole thing sounds like it would be a blast, though one would imagine that the average fan would be priced out of attending. Horror movies like Child’s Play and The Fly were going to be screened as well as performances by Alice, and horror director Joe Dante was going to be in attendance as was Corey Feldman.
