A traffic accident in Eleuthera has left an American man dead and five other people injured.
The man has been identified as Walter Bonam from New York, USA. He was driving a Chevy Lumina, with three passengers. Travelling south on Queens Highway, he drifted and had a head-on collision with a northbound Chevy Malibu.
Mr Bonam was thrown from his vehicle and died on the scene. His passengers, all U S citizens, received only minor injuries. The driver of the other vehicle along with his front seat passenger also received minor injuries.
