Dame Marguerite Pindling, Deputy to the Governor General and widow of the first Prime Minister of an independent Bahamas Sir Lynden Pindling, laid a wreath at his mausoleum on the March, 24, 2013 in commemoration of what would have been Sir Lynden’s 83rd birthday.
She was accompanied by Foreign Affairs and Immigration Minister Fred Mitchell.
Sir Lynden was born on the 22nd March 1930 and died on the 26th August 2000 at the age of 70.
