A preschool in the West Ridge area of New Providence was robbed.
Unofficial reports indicate that a man forced his way into the school around 9:20am on Thursday morning as a teacher was closing the door.
The man demanded money and when the teacher told him that money was not kept in the building he robbed her of her gold chain and fled on foot. No one was harmed.
Just a few hours before the preschool robbery a church on Gladstone Road was also robbed. A 26-year-old suspect was arrested and is in police custody. He was also wanted on two outstanding criminal warrants.
