A police officer is in custody in connection with the stabbing of two Defence Force officers over the surprisingly violent holiday weekend.
Details of the incident are still forthcoming, but sources reveal that the men were at Arawak Cay late Saturday night when they got into a confrontation, reportedly over a woman.
The incident resulted in the two marines, Alfred McKenzie and Decarldo Pratt, ages 20 and 23 respectively, being stabbed multiple times.
Anthony Ferguson, Assistant Commissioner of Police, confirmed that an officer is in custody in connection with the “incident at Arawak Cay”.
“We have a stabbing matter that is under investigation that involved an officer,” he said. “We are actively investigating it and will provide an update as details become available.”
