Authorities have identified the person they say stole an Olympic gold medal from a vehicle in Bradenton last week.
An arrest warrant was filed Wednesday for 22-year-old Allen Nichols of Bradenton, and detectives are currently searching for him.
Police say numerous tips from citizens have identified Nichols as the man that entered Demetrius Pinder’s truck on September 11th and stole his gold medal from the center console.
Pinder won the medal in the 2012 Olympics in London as part of the Bahamian 4×400 relay team.
