Over 300 people attended the ACE Diabetes “Get On Track” Expo on Saturday November 23rd at the New Providence Community Center.
The inaugural health event brought together a variety of organizations within the community to present information about diabetes-related products and services that they provide. Workshop presenters included: doctors, certified diabetes educators, and healthcare professionals.
The expo featured educational sessions – “Ask The Experts” on managing diabetes and on prevention of diabetes, plus new technology and research. There were also health screenings, food demonstrations, a Zumba dance class, and prizes and giveaways.
All aspects of diabetes and the prevention of diabetes were covered and healthcare professionals were available to educate people on eye care, dental care and kidneys.
