Tiffani Lightbourne and Jennifer Pedican-Dames of New Oriental Cleaners will both be wearing these brightly coloured T-shirts on Wednesday March 12th to drum up support for the The Coalition for Responsible Taxation.
Called WAKEUP WEDNESDAY the promotional push will unite employees of other participating businesses also wearing the T-shirts and remind others to sign the online Petition at www.wakeupbahamas.com.
The Coalition for Responsible Taxation (the Coalition) is comprised of more than twenty major industry associations in The Bahamas representing some 700 businesses and 60,000 employees.
Coalition PR volunteer, Lana Brogdon said: “The WakeUp Bahamas Campaign has been very successful so far and has generated thousands of petition signatures in support of delaying a decision on VAT until implications and alternatives are researched. However more signatures are required.
To that end, Wednesday, March 12th will be observed as WakeUp Wednesday and businesses aligned with the Coalition will wear WakeUp Bahamas T-shirts highlighting the petition website: WakeUpBahamas.com.
Persons can also sign hard-copy petitions at participating local businesses.”
