U.S. Embassy Calls for Proposals – Anti-Drug Media Campaign

us-embassyThe International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) Section of the U.S. Embassy in The Bahamas is pleased to announce a request for grant proposals for drug demand reduction projects that include the implementation of an anti-drug media campaign targeting at-risk youth in The Bahamas.

The media campaign and associated activities should encourage one or more of the following specific goals in The Bahamas:

• reductions in drug use;
• delayed onset of use;
• reduction in morbidity caused by drug use (e.g., HIV/AIDS);
• reduction in criminal behavior and drug-related violence;
• reduction in gang membership; and
• promotion of existing and/or new drug prevention, education, treatment, rehabilitation, and aftercare programs.

Applicants should design proposals to demonstrate concrete deliverables within a 12-month performance period that are within the scope of the proposed budget, which should be between $5,000 and $25,000.
