Arianna Vanderpool- Wallace can now be referred to as the fastest female swimmer on this side of the globe.
In what is regarded as the Olympic Games of the western hemisphere, the Bahamian swimming sensation glided to a gold medal in her signature event, and the marquee speed event in female swimming, making history in the process for The Bahamas last night. After swimming a new Pan Am Games and Bahamian national record of 24.31 seconds in the heats, Vanderpool- Wallace came back in the final of the women’s 50 meters (m) free last night and struck gold in 24.38 seconds.
