An emergency room doctor yesterday denied inappropriately touching a
33-year-old emergency medical technician.
Dr. Lynwood Brown’s arraignment on the indecent assault charge was
supposed to take place last week, but was deferred until yesterday
because of a dispute on whether the statute of limitations for the
offense had passed.
The doctor’s accuser filed a private prosecution alleging indecent
assault on March 4, 2011, three days before the statute of limitations
expired, her lawyer Romona Farquharson countered.
Dr. Brown entered a not guilty plea.
His trial begins on November 1.
