A Supreme Court judge has given prosecutors a final chance to bring their witnesses forward in the case against a man accused of injuring a toddler in a drive-by shooting last year.
Renardo Minnis, 21, is accused of three counts of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life in the June 14, 2010 shooting at a Pinewood Gardens car wash that injured Tyson Deveaux and Anthon Whyms, who was shot in the head. He is also accused of endangering the life of Anthon’s mother, Abigail Whyms.
Justice Vera Watkins empaneled the jury on Monday. However, none of the complainants have appeared for the trial.
Linda Evans is the prosecutor and V. Alfred Gray represents Minnis, who is on bail.
