The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism served as the sponsor of the official concert of the Atlanta Football Classic, dubbed the Black is Beautiful Tour which featured singers Angie Stone and Raheem Devaughn, which was hosted by comedian Lightfoot.
The Black is Beautiful Tour concert complemented the annual Atlanta Football Classic which featured FAMU and Southern University. According to organizers the concert upholds the long standing tradition of music and HBCU football. Some 3,000 persons were in attendance as the Ministry of Tourism gave a 4 day 3 night at the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas.
