A fifteen year-old girl was stabbed to death, allegedly by her father in their Golden Gates home.
Richa Gibson was stabbed Saturday morning during a fight with her father who had scolded her for coming in so late. Richa was apparently out with friends on Friday night and did not arrive home until early Saturday morning.
The teen was a tenth-grade student at CV Bethel High School.
Her father was recently released from prison and also had reportedly tried to kill himself earlier this year by jumping off the Paradise Island bridge. He was fished from the water near Potter’s Cay Dock.
The man is in hospital under a 24-hour suicide watch. He allegedly has AIDS and Hepatitis B.
No charges have been filed yet, according to police who are still figuring out exactly what happened.
