BTC Celebrates Launch of Store and 4G

Following the fanfare of Monday’s flagship store opening, BTC continues to celebrate its new retail experience and 4G launch by inviting the public to a full day of festivities including stilt walkers, an all-star Bahamian concert, and Junkanoo this Saturday, December 10 at Center Court in the Mall of Marathon.

With a stellar line up of entertainment, the public will encounter excitement and animation at every turn. The fun day kicks off at 11:00 a.m. and continues until 7:00 p.m. Included in Saturday’s concert are a number of local music favourites namely Geno D, The Falcons, Veronica Bishop, Puzzle and the Lassie Do Boys. And for the younger audience: face painters, magicians and sweet treats. The talent of local artists will also be featured during a live art-in-motion segment where their interpretation of telecommunications will be unveiled on canvas. Participating artists include Kishan Munroe, Allan Wallace and Robert Hilton.

“With a state-of-the-art retail experience and Nassau now on par with some of the most advanced telecoms networks in the world we felt it necessary to share this excitement with the wider public,” stated Marlon Johnson BTC’s Vice President, Brand & Communications. “The flagship store and launch of 4G represent the new age of retail, the new age of technology. And we want to actively celebrate this milestone with our customers.”

The new 6,500 square foot store sets the stage for the BTC retail experience, featuring Xbox gaming, 4G tablets and phones, eight separate stations for purchasing and bill payment and a massive Junkanoo mural by well-known artist Anthony ‘Big Mo’ Morley. Located in the Mall at Marathon, it is the first of 50 planned for opening throughout the country with another store opening scheduled for January in Grand Bahama.  The 4G network is set launch in Grand Bahama on December 12.
