A young female tourist was robbed of her bag by two young men as she was on her way to visit the Queen’s Staircase – a popular tourist landmark in downtown Nassau.
The woman, a Carnival cruise ship passenger, is a Chinese national studying in the United States. The bag that was stolen from her contained her passport and U.S. student visa, without which she can not return to the United States to her studies.
She is making a plea for help, urging anyone who comes across or knows the whereabouts of her brightly coloured medium-sized bag to turn it into the Chinese Embassy or the nearest police station.
