And Nine Months Later…?

Works Minister Bradley Roberts recently accused the opposition of “lacking the will to fight corruption.” In this regard, we would be most interested to see a report to the nation on the results of the new government’s “fresh wind” over the past nine months.

Have all the front operations in construction that Mr. Roberts and his compatriots complained about been shut down? Have any new ones been allowed to set up? Have public corporations been cleaned up? Are contracts being tendered and awarded fairly? Are investment proposals and business applications being dealt with speedily and honestly?

And then what happened with the report on the Junkanoo bleachers? Bahamians have been waiting impatiently for that one.

We look forward to hearing from Mr. Roberts soon.
