Papa John’s International is proud to announce the opening of another Caribbean islands Papa John’s restaurant. The company’s newest international restaurant, owned and operated by Papa John’s franchise group, Bahama Papa, Ltd., opened on Grand Bahama Island on March 7, 2003.
“We’re very excited to welcome the Bahamas to our growing list of international restaurant locations in the Caribbean,” remarked Bill Van Epps, Managing Director of International for Papa John’s. “We’re confident island residents will embrace Papa John’s commitment to quality and ‘Better Ingredients. Better Pizza’.”
“We are committed to providing our customers a superior-quality pizza with outstanding customer service,” stated Bryan Kornblau of Bahama Papa, Ltd. “I’m convinced residents of the Bahamas will soon see why, over the past several years, Papa John’s has consistently been rated #1 among all national fast food restaurants in the American Customer Satisfaction Index, and voted ‘Best Pizza’ in more than 60 U.S. markets.”
Papa John’s opened its first international restaurant in Mexico City in 1998. Today, Papa John’s has 2933 restaurants (including 142 Perfect Pizza restaurants in the United Kingdom) in eleven international markets including Mexico, Honduras, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Canada, and most recently Aruba, Greece and the Bahamas.
Papa John’s focuses on providing customers with superior-quality products including U.S. offerings of traditional and thin crust pizzas, breadsticks, cheesesticks and Papa’s Chickenstrips. While international menus may vary based on the needs and preferences of different cultures, Papa John’s core superior-quality pizza product remains the same all over the world. The crust of every Papa John’s traditional pizza is made with fresh (never frozen) dough prepared with clear-filtered water in regional quality control centers across the United States. In most international markets, Papa John’s restaurants purchase their fresh dough from third-party bakeries whose specifications meet with Papa John’s high quality standards and expectations. Papa John’s uses only fresh-packed tomato sauce made from vine-ripened tomatoes, cheese made with 100% mozzarella, 100% real beef, pork that contains no fillers and other high-quality toppings.
In the four most recent surveys (1999-2002), Papa John’s received the highest ratings among all national fast food restaurants in The American Customer Satisfaction Index survey conducted by The National Quality Research Center at the University of Michigan Business School. Papa John’s has also recently been recognized for local market Best Pizza wins in various cities across the United States including Washington D.C., Atlanta, Los Angeles, Dallas, Indianapolis, Orlando and Phoenix.
