War On Crime?

Three weeks ago, Mother Pratt announced the death knell of a tradition, with the suspension of the musical activities of the Royal Bahamas Police Force Band. She said the 110-year Bahamian icon was to be silenced and its 72 members assigned to regular policing duties until the crime wave sweeping the nation was curtailed.

Since then it seems we’ve seen mention of the band playing for official openings of police stations in Abaco and Exuma, and now they’re tuning up their instruments for the opening of the Red Cross Fair on Saturday. And there may indeed have been other engagements we missed.

Does that mean all the bad boys have gone home or are under lock and key?

Just asking.
