Bahamian Wins ‘Inventor of The Year’ title

Bahamian inventor Gwendolyn Rolle was named “Woman Inventor of the Year” for her “slip-ons collection” featured at America’s largest invention show

The Freeport resident received the honour at the 2003 Invention Show awards dinner in Pittsburgh.

Ms. Rolle’s shoe accessory can be adapted to 10 different styles, which means women can travel with fewer shoes and make each pair look different from day to day.

Ms. Rolle’s invention “is designed for women who want to enjoy a wide variety of shoe styles without spending a fortune”.
