Gunmen Rob Sir Arthur

Sir Arthur Foulkes was robbed at gunpoint outside his West Bay Street home Wednesday night.

Police Superintendent Hulan Hanna said at 10:15pm, Sir Arthur Foulkes was robbed by two armed men who followed him to his house near Compass Point.

Sir Arthur parked his car and walked to see who had followed him. At the same time two masked men got out of their car and came towards him, one with a handgun.

“They were serious, they had the gun pointed right at my chest,” Sir Arthur said.

The attack is part of a recent spate of armed robberies and shootings.

Recently, several persons have told The Tribune that they are worried because much of the crime they hear about is not reported by the police.

A concerned resident of Eastern Road said, “People are getting a false sense of security because the police are not seying anything, (the public) needs to know what’s going on so we can take the right precautions to protect ourselves.”

The woman said she knew of at least two other incidents of women being attacked while walking and wondered why the incidents never turned up in the news.

She said the attacks took place at Goodman’s Bay, Blair and on the Eastern Road, all in broad daylight, between six months and two weeks ago.
