Lorlanga Pettitgin was shot in the leg after he refused to co-operate with a thief, police reported yesterday.
Mr. Pettitgin was shot while walking near his home off Carmichael Road.
Supt. Hulan Hanna said a man with a gun approached him and demanded money. Mr. Pettitgin refused and the two struggled.
Mr.Pettitgin was shot in the thigh and the gunman escaped.
