London, United Kingdom – iPass announced today that it offers broadband roaming to more than 2000 access points including over 1500 Wi-Fi hotspots and 500 Ethernet-enabled venues. These numbers include the companyfs latest update to its Global Broadband Roaming (GBR) service in which iPass added more than 450 hotspotsin Japan operated by NTT Communicationsf Wi-Fi service offering, Hotspot.
As performed with all of its roaming providers, iPass has validated its GBR broadband access points against rigorous quality assessment and operations tests and enabled interoperability with the leading VPNs, personal firewall and policy management systems. After passing this battery of tests, the Wi-Fi and Ethernet networks were certified by iPass as gEnterprise Readyh and integrated into the iPass virtual network.
The GBR service is now available in 22 countries with Wi-Fi service available in 14 countries including Argentina, Australia, the Bahamas, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Mexico, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the United States. Ethernet service is available in 15 countries including Australia, China, France, Hong Kong, Hungary, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom and the United States.
