A man in his thirties was gunned down on his own doorstep on Saturday during a weekend of crime in Nassau which also left an off-duty policeman nursing serious wounds after a knife attack in a nightclub.
The spree of violence brought the homicide count to 24 for the year with 32 year-old Lemuel Fernander dying from two bullet wounds in the chest in the early hours of Saturday morning. He was shot after answering a late-night knock at the door.
