SESAME STREET LIVE is coming your way!! Just head to The Kendal Isaac Gymnasium to see your furry, loveable friends including Big Bird, Elmo, The Count, Oscar, Cookie Monster, Grover, Ernie, Bert, Telly, Zoa and Rosita singing, dancing and having fun on stage.
That's right: Sesame Street, television's most famous children's production, will be performing in The Bahamas in a spectacular show entitled "Elmo's Colouring Book."
"Elmo's Colouring Book" is a high-energy, musical extravaganza that takes us on a magical journey exploring a time on Sesame Street when the colours vanish as the Muppets perform an array of musical numbers including, "Fuzzy and Blue," "Red-Hot Tango," and "Yellow Polka."
Elmo and his furry friends will travel into their drawings to ancient Egypt, the land of the dinosaurs, and a very musical junkyard singing, dancing and teaching children about colours and concepts like sharing, loyalty, problem-solving, cooperation and friendship. Children and adults alike will be mesmerized by the magnificent sets, riveting performances, breathtaking lighting and special effects. It will be a fantasy world "come to life."
John Cumberbatch and Lisa Millar, the show's Production Managers, are very excited to be bringing this staple in children's educational institutions to the island.
"The show today is as popular as it was 30 years ago. I have grown up with Sesame Street and I have no doubt that my children will also be influenced by it, in fact, after all of this time, I can still remember the songs," Cumberbatch said with a smile.
"We are proud to be able to entertain and educate the children of The Bahamas with their favourite show, live!"Millar added.
"Sunny days" will start at The Kendal Isaac Gymnasium from Wednesday, November 22 through Sunday, November 26, 2006.
Elmo's Colouring Book will be a treat for the entire family. Don't miss it!
