The early morning break-in left display stands cleared of watches, necklaces, bracelets and other items.
A gang of crooks somehow got through two doors at The Colombian, near Frederick Street, on saturday to get access to showcases.
Then they fled with a massive haul of gems which police valued at several hundred thousand doallers.
Meanwhile officers say almost all of the merchandise may have been recovered.
