Mr. Christie’s comments came at a joint press conference held with visiting South African President Thabo Mbeki at Nassau International Airport, and Mr. Christie was clearly embarrassed at having to deal with the industrial action while entertaining such a high profile guest.
However, Mr. Mbeki is being accommodated at Atlantis – one of the properties hit by the protest – so Mr. Christie could not expect the action to escape his attention.
Mr. Christie said: “Changes will have to be made, alterations will have to be made – even possibly to our laws.”
