Construction magnate George Mosko Sr. has taken over the struggling downtown museum and bar and has brought in new management to run the operation.
The business was previously run by a Swiss businessman who once attempted to sell the business on E-Bay, the online auction site, for $500,000. Mr. Mosko made the decision to repossess the building, keeping the bar and museum open and retaining the 20 plus Bahamian staff. Former manager Mark Hussey has resigned.
Mr. Mosko has indicated that he will be making renovations and upgrades to the property soon, including changing the roof and paiinting the building.
