Zennerman Sherman, 46, of Butler Street, Nassau Village, is facing charges of assault and threats of death.
It is alleged that Sherman assaulted Austin Thompson on Tuesday, May 18, and threatened him with an intent to put him in fear of death.
Sherman pleaded not guilty and was released on $3,000 bail. He is expected to return to court on October 15.
In other court news; Gary John Williams, 31, of First Street, The Grove, was released on $5,000 bail after being charged with having sex with a 14-year-old girl.
Ian Michael Lewis, 34, of Lakeview Drive, Yamacraw Beach, was released on $5,000 bail after being charged with raping a 28-year-old woman.
