It was supposed to be a dry run for a terrorist bomb scare. But one tourist told The Tribune, “I understand what the authoritioes here are trying to do but if this is any indication of what will happen in the event of a bomb scare, then you guys are in big trouble.”
What was expected to be a 30-minute exercise lasted an hour. And at the end of it all, tourists were left pomndering how big a disaster it would have been had Al-Qaeda really struck.
Toruists inside Festival Place were forced to go through the emergency exits as main doors were locked. One tourist who lost his son in all the confusion refused to move until he found him.
