The Defence Force made a unique rescue yesterday as they came to the aid of a group of tourists stranded on a sea plane in Nassau Harbour.
When the plane landed in the harbour, the wheels would not go down, which prevented the plane from going up the landing ramp and left the pilot, crew and passengers stranded.
According to Lt. Kenneth Forbes, the commanding officer at the Defence Force Harbour Control, “We got a call that a Chalks plane carrying 13 passengers… was having difficulty.”
He said the passengers were pretty calm about the whole incident.
