Police on Tuesday evening had seven men in custody following a street fight on the Cable Beach strip the previous night.
Reports indicate that the fight erupted after two cars collided near the Cecil Wallace Whitfield Building.
Eye witnesses said that two groups of men fought with feet, fists and bottles.
The melee lasted for several minutes, shocking tourists who were strolling on the popular tourist strip.
Bystanders described the incident as “appalling and disgraceful”” and hoped that it did not have long lasting negative effects on the tourists who were forced to witness it.
