A leading holiday company that turned away gay couples from its resorts announced yesterday that it is lifting the ban on same sex couples.
Sandals, which specialises in Caribbean holidays for American and European travellers and has a resort in Nassau, changed its policy following commercial pressure throughout the world and pressure from gay activists.
In a press release issued world-wide yesterday Sandals Resorts International, which has 13 all-inclusive couples only resorts throughout the Caribbean, said it was removing the word “heterosexual” from its ad campaigns.
