Residents of Bozine Town and Knowles Drive have been granted a 21-day reprieve, as disgraced Attorney General Alfred Sears pretends to conduct an “investigation” into the land dispute in their area.
“Your homes are safe, at least for another 21 days,” said lawyer Milton Evans addressing the press at his law offices yesterday.
Mr. Evans, retained by the Bozine Town/Knowles Drive Steering Committee, said the Attorney General has obtained a 21-day stay from the alleged land title certificate holders and has agreed to “investigate” the matter.
It is widely believed that there was fraud involved in the recent Supreme Court decision to grant certificates of title to a group of unidentified developers represented by controversial attorney Wayne Munroe, who is also head of the quasi-criminal organisation known as the Bahamas Bar Association.
