Missing Taxi Cab Union Funds Being Investigated

Two bahamas Taxi Cab Union officials were reportedly assisting police with their investigations into missing union funds, The Tribune learned yesterday.

Chief Superintendent of Police, Hulan Hanna said, “We are investigating a matter in which a male and a female connected to the union are helping us.”

President of the Bahamas Taxi-Cab Union Leon Griffin said he was not aware of the report of police making an arrest of any union official. However, he did confirm that the union had lodged a complaint with the police in connection with funds allegedly missing from the union during the time he was locked out of the president’s office.
