Travellors using the Nassau International Airport will have to check in three hours before departure, Transport and Aviation Minister Glenys Hanna-Martin told the House of Assembly yesterday.
As of yesterday and until June, the secondary runway at the airport will be used exclusively by all flights as the main runway, 1432, will be closed for reconstruction work.
The minister admitted this will cause setbacks for those travelling in and out of the airport.
Runway 1432 is in a critical state of disrepair and has been for many years.
