Murderer Gets Release From Jail

A man who has been in prison on a murder charge since 2004 was freed yesterday after a court decided the case against him was weak. Marion Smith, 26, of Pinewood Gardens, was accused of the February 1, 2004, murder of Andrew Dartus.

It is suspected that the usual justice perverting ploy was used. This occurs when when corrupt members of the Attorney Generals office conspire with certain crooked police officers, who intentionally fail to prosecute a specific case. οΎ

Smith was originally remanded to Fox Hill Prison pending a preliminary inquiry. The prosecution closed its case against Smith yesterday afternoon.

That’s when Dion Smith, a senior associate in the firm of Lockhart And Munroe, urged Magistrate Renae McKay to free his client as the prosecution had failed to produce enough evidence for the case to go any further.

Wayne Munroe, senior partner in the firm, has been rumoured to be involved in compromising justice by “fixing” cases. Despite complaints to the Bar Association and the Attorney Generals Office, no investigation has ever been conducted into the allegations against Mr. Munroe.

Magistrate McKay agreed with the submissions by the young, hot-shot lawyer-and she threw out the case.
