The Registrar General’s Office has advised that the Rodney Bain Building is officially closed until further notice.
In a statement released yesterday, the department said: “So that the service to the public may be continued, the public is asked to note that most of the services originally offered at the Rodney Bain building have been relocated to the number 50 Shirley Street Building.”
The public is asked to note the following operating times at that location:
ユ Births and deaths: registration/certification – lpm to 4pm ユ Marriage licences: application/certification – 9am to lpm ユ Deeds and documents: registration – 9am to 4pm
ユ Deeds and documents: searches – operational hours are under review and another announcement will be made once the review is completed.
The statement said that services originally conducted from the Shirley Street office have not been affected.
“Management of the Registrar General’s Department apologises for any inconvenience caused and wishes to reassure you that we will do everything we can to return full service to you as quickly as possible. We thank you for your co-operation,” the statement said.
