Christie Continues Shuffle

The re-adjustment came almost a month after a major Cabinet shuffle. According to a Cabinet Office Press Release, His Excellency the Governor-General Arthur Hanna, acting in accordance with the advice of the Prime Minister, made changes in postings.

Those reassigned were: Member of Parliament John Carey, from the Ministry of Works and Utilities to the Ministry of Tourism; MP Agatha Marcelle from the Ministry of Tourism to the Ministry of Immigration, Labour and Training; and MP Ron Pinder from the Ministry of Health to the Ministry of Energy and The Environ-ment.

The press release added that PM Christie thought it best to reassign positions in The Ministry of Tourism, the now expanded Ministry of Immigration, Labour and Training and in the newly created Ministry of Energy and The Environment.

In late February, during a speech on national television the portfolios of most of his ministers in late February, during a speech on national television and radio.

Major Cabinet changes included former Minister of Trade and Industry Leslie Miller being appointed Minister of Agriculture and Marine Resources, former Minister of Immigration and Labour Vincent Peet being appointed Minister of Financial Services and Investments.

But while some portfolios were changed, others were given additional areas to administer and manage.
