The leading Bahamian realtors/brokers are continuing to prepare themselves to meet the changes occurring in the industry. A number of factors make it necessary for Bahamian realtors to be able to sell The Bahamas. Among these are the globalisation of markets, the fact that baby boomers are fast approaching retirement and are looking for retirement homes in warmer climes.
George Damianos is a member of that elite group that is equipping itself to meet the challenges of a dynamic real estate market. Mr Damianos who heads up Damianos Sotheby’s International Realty, has been “named an Elite member for 2006”, Unique Homes Magazine announced recently.
Unique Homes Elite, an annual publication, showcases “the top residential specialists as well as their most exclusive listings” a release from the publication stated.
Unique Homes Magazine, recognised as the premier publication for promoting upscale real estate, reaches a market that includes not only the 50 states but more than 80 countries. The magazine reaches an affluent readership that currently owns more than $83 billion in luxury real estate and has an average total household net worth of more than $2,125,000.
Earlier this week it was announced that two other realtors Mario Carey and Larry Roberts of Bahamas Realty had become the first real estate brokers in the Bahamas to earn the prestigious Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS) designation.
With Mr. Damianos being invited to be among the elite in his industry internationally, based on the performance of his company and his team’s accomplishments, and that two of his colleagues Mr. Carey and Mr. Roberts, are breaking new ground in the high end market by acquiring the CLHMS designation, the real estate industry in The Bahamas continues to ensure that it can provide the level of service required in a globalised real estate market.
