July is bound to heat up when Fifth Avenue puts on ‘Bahamas Fashion Week,’ which is an annual fashion extravaganza consisting of 9 days of exciting high fashion with a Bahamian twist.

Co-ordinator of the event, Kevin Strakan from Fifth Avenue Models and Cosmetics, is enthusiastic about the showcase of talent which will be presented, as it represents a preview of the future of the fashion industry in The Bahamas.
The 9 days fashion and style extravaganza is scheduled for Friday, July 7 thru Saturday, July 15, with events consisting of a party boat cruise, a beach party, a photo shoot and a hot swimsuit fashion show.
At the ‘Independence Elegance’ on Friday, July 7, Bahamian Designer Brynda Knowles, will showcase her couture collection to the public. Exotic models from Nassau, Europe and the United States, will be draped in Brynda’s designs. This fashion show and dinner will take place poolside in the courtyard of the 5-star Graycliff Restaurant.
Fifth Avenue has joined up with private companies, business organizations, government departments and trade bodies in the Caribbean, Europe, Asia, and the United States in this exhibition to present their services and products.
