Andros police and Drug Enforcement Unit officers from Nassau detained five men in Andros in connection with the discovery of a drug stash on a 36-foot boat.
Police also reported the recovery of a stolen vehicle and a firearm after a high speed chase around 3:30am Wednesday morning. A short exchange of gunfire broke out during the chase, after which the vehicle crashed into bushes near Bacardi Road. The suspects ran into the bushes and escaped.
A man wearing a bandana and carrying a black handgun robbed at Texaco gas station on Carmichael Road, and its customers, before escaping in double cab Ford F-150 truck.
