One of the three people suspected of being involved with the armed robbery of the Bahamas Telecomunications Company (BTC) branch at Shirley Street on Friday died after allegedly complaining of chest pains while in police custody.
The man, whose identity was not released, was sitting quietly at the Central Detective Unit before suddenly collapsing on the floor.
He was taken to Princess Margaret Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The man had been arrested a short time earlier after police received a tip that led them to Blair where they arrested the man and a woman suspected of being involved in the robbery.
