Arianna Vanderpool-Wallace won bronze in the 50-freestyle finals at the FINA World Short Course Championships held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on Sunday December 19th.
As the first Bahamian to medal at that level, Vanderpool-Wallace said even with the medal in her possession, it still seemed “surreal” that she was in fact the bronze medalist at the World Championships.
Moments after touching down at the Lynden Pindling International Airport Arianna Vanderpool-Wallace, the latest Bahamian sports star to achieve Bahamian sports history said, “it hasn’t hit me yet that I am the bronze medalist.”
