With an eye on the burgeoning teen market, Mario’s Bowling and Entertainment Palace, off Tonique Williams-Darling Highway, is set to open a 3,500 square foot “teen club”.
Leslie Miller, owner of the bowling and entertainment centre said he is aiming the new expansion at teenagers aged between 13 to 18.
He said it will be similar to the very suiccessful club Crush at the Atlantis resort, an $11 million teen club open only to guests of the resort.
Miller’s staff did a survey of the customers who visit his bowling and entertainment center which indicated a clear need for a place exclusivle for teens.
He plans on creating a heavily protected activity center with non-alcoholic drinks and good surveillance.
The new teen center should be as opulent as the club Miller offers adults on the upper level, including a bar that serves specialty non-alcoholic drinks.
The club, which will accomodate 250-400 teens at a time, will be staffed by young people and will be open on Fridays and Saturdays only.
Construction began last week.
