Five chefs remain with one expecting to be eliminated. But because the judges couldn’t decide who should be eliminated in the challenge, they decided to advance all five to compete in the Bahamas: Richard Blais, Carla Hall, Tiffany Derry, Antonia Lofaso and Mike Isabella.
So the final, which should have only included four, was expanded to five and everyone got to head to the Bahamas.
Richard seemed rattled as host Padma Lakshmi told him to “please pack your knives” but she followed it with “… you’re going to the finale!”.
Tom, one of the judges said, “This time [the decision] was just too tough.”
