Tropical Storm Bonnie Now Affecting South Florida

11am – Tropical Storm Bonnie sped across the Bahamas and over South Florida this morning, with the centre now situated over Biscayne Bay.
Residual showers and thunderstorms are still likely for the next few hours in Grand Bahama, Abaco, Bimini, The Berry Islands, New Providence, Andros and Eleuthera and Tropical Storm Warnings remain in effect for those islands.

At 11am, the centre of Tropical Storm Bonnie was located near latitude 25.4 degrees north and longitude 80.3 degrees west about 30 miles south-southwest of Miami and 185 miles west northwest of Nassau.

Bonnie continues her track toward the west northwest at 18 miles per hour and on this path, the storm will move across the southern Florida.
