The family of 20-year-old Krishanna Higgs is stepping up their efforts in finding the missing mother of two and is renewing their plea for anyone with any information to come forward.
In that vein, the family has set up a facebook page, find Krishanna and Ellie, and opened an e-mail account, helpusfindshanna@gmail.com, for any member of the public to reach them.
After attempts to find her oldest child failed, Krysta Fox took her plight to the media a week ago in the hopes of getting the message out to more people.
Krishanna reportedly left Nassau on January 12 with her three-year-old daughter at the request of the father of her two year old and was expected back home the following week.
Since then, Fox said, she has traveled to Grand Bahama twice to look for Krishanna. The first time, back in March, she filed a missing person’s report and has been in constant contact with the police ever since.
The worried mother said, she knows it is not like Krishanna not to contact her daughters or even call to find out if they are OK.
The three year old, the family said, is safe with her paternal family and, while there was some concern about the two year old, yesterday, police confirmed the baby is now in the custody of the relevant authorities.
Fox said, she is relieved that her two-year-old grandbaby is OK, but not knowing where Krishanna is has not taken her fears away.
“The police is doing their job to assist us, but we’re still not getting anywhere right now. The family is doing the best we can do with opening the e-mail account and the public has been helpful,” she said.
“We are checking on some leads, but I’m still worried because I am not getting any feedback on where she is.”
In the meantime, however, the police still want to question Krishanna’s ex-boyfriend, Charles Tony Fritzgerald, the father of the two year old who is wanted by police in an unrelated matter.
Fritzgerald, aka Gary Cooper and CT, was already wanted for questioning by police in a separate matter and, according to the all points bulletin (APB), is considered armed and extremely dangerous.
Police also want to question him in relation to the whereabouts of Krishanna.
The 25 year old’s last known address is Watergate Apart-ments, Lucaya and police say he should be approached with extreme caution.
